Meaning

Giving each other personal space. It means that we should still respect our boundaries no matter how close we are to a person, be it a friend we've known for a long time, a relative, family or simply an acquaintance. It can be taken either positively or negatively. A hedge between will keep neighbors separate and out of each others properties. It could be that green means fresh and new in a good way or it could mean green as in new and never becoming old friends. Keeping some secrets along the line that won't hurt whether they find out or not is somehow better. After all, too much familiarity breeds contempt. One must not attempt to do away with one's friend's identity, as their seperate identities are what lends an uniqueness to the friendship.
